Meet the Team
Rector: Wayne Barkhuizen
Wayne Barkhuizen serves as the rector of Christ Church Pietermaritzburg. His prime responsibilities are to give leadership, exercise a teaching and preaching ministry that explains the scriptures, and to equip fellow believers in more effective service to Christ.
Wayne’s specific role is to be the Senior Pastor and exercise oversight of the church in all its various ministries.

Childrens Worker: Siobhan Smith
Siobhan grew up in Christ Church (then known as Holy Trinity) and loved attending Sunday school and the Friday night children’s programme, GAP. She loved it so much, she now serves as the children’s worker where she oversees the Sunday school, GAP (God Answers Prayers) and all other child-related matters. She loves teaching and helping children learn about Jesus.
She is married to Kole and is mom to Helen, who is a real delight.

House Keeper: Heidi Hill
Heidi serves as full-time employed House Keeper to both Christ Church Pietermaritzburg as well as KMBC, the bible college on campus. She takes care of all the domestic related ministries and coordinates a team of full-time and volunteer workers to maintain the premises.
